Minimum Qualifications Experience:
Four (4) years of responsible management, administrative or supervisory experience in the health services field including one (1) year as manager of one or more of the following areas functioning in support of clinical or treatment services: budget, fiscal, human resource management, affirmative action, information systems management, or support services in a general hospital, community mental health center, health care facility or a facility or agency providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness or developmental disabilities.

AND

Education:
A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards in hospital, health care, public or business administration or a related field.

OR

Experience:
Six (6) years of the experience described above including two (2) years as a manager as described above.

AND

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards.

Duties Description The Director of Hospital Administration & Support Services (Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1 - Administration) serves as an essential member of the facility's Executive Management Team. Under the general direction of the Executive Director of RCPC; the Director of Hospital Administration & Support Services is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and oversight of administrative management services (human resources, business office, physical plant, nutrition services, housekeeping, front desk, storehouse and collaboration with the safety dept) at RCPC.

The Director of Hospital Administration & Support Services:
• Provides management oversight and direction of Human Resources, Business Office, Physical Plant/Work Control (Maintenance, Engineering), Environmental Services/ Housekeeping, Safety & Security, Storehouse, Front desk staffing and Nutrition/Food Services departments.
• Establishes and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines designed to ensure the effective operation all necessary administrative and support services.
• Monitors, evaluates, and implements performance improvement programs.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the knowledge of regulatory compliance (i.e., RCPC and OMH policies, NYS DOH, Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services and The Joint Commission).
• Serves on Cabinet, MSO Executive Committee, Quality Committee, and runs Environment of Care Committee

Additional Comments Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center (RCPC), a Joint Commission accredited NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility, is looking for a dynamic, organized, and detail-oriented leader to oversee the hospital’s administrative and support services. RCPC is a psychiatric hospital exclusively for children and adolescents ages 11 – 18 from the Hudson Valley Region. Located in Orangeburg, NY, RCPC provides an intensive, family-based inpatient psychiatric treatment program with the goal of returning children to their families with minimal disruption. In addition to RCPC’s inpatient facility, they provide a network of outpatient services, including school-based intensive day treatment programs, day treatment programs, and clinics. RCPC focuses on providing services that are tailored to the individual needs of the child and their family.
