Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Minimum qualifications for taking the open competitive examination: must be licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State AND have one year of full-time post-RN licensure clinical nursing experience.

Duties Description Nursing assessments, orientation of incarcerated population, routine emergency sick call for incarcerated population, monitor physician call out, note transcribe orders, monitor chronic health problems, communicable diseases, provide incarcerated population with prescription medications, maintain inventory control of medical supplies over-the-counter medications, provide emergency medical care for employees.

Additional Comments Two position available - one position is days and one position is days with evening relief.
