Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 12 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Office Assistant 3 (Human Resources) will be assigned to the Transaction Unit within Human Resources Management. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
• Process transactions and ensure data is prepared accurately.
• Assist with recruitment and classification transactions as needed.
• Efficiently monitor and process traineeships and/or probations for employees.
• Efficiently monitor and track shared email mailboxes and electronic fax.
• Process various reports and provide updates as changes occur.
• Reconcile data between program applicable systems, canvass eligible lists, and acceptor responses.
• Serve as a processing liaison with the Business Services Center (BSC).
• Interact with customers and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
• Efficiently utilize program databases, applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Create, organize, and maintain office files.
• Perform tasks in an efficient, timely, and safe manner.
• May perform the full range of supervisory duties.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
• Preferred experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.

Additional Comments NOTE ON TELECOMMUTING: OGS Employees are required to apply and obtain approval through management to telecommute according to OGS Telecommuting Pilot Program Guidelines.
