Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Current NYS Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Program Aide (G13) OR a NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent permanent, competitive service in a title at or above a (G11) and eligible for transfer to a Program Aide (G13) under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications: Purchasing experience utilizing the New York State Procurement Guidelines and working with Office of General Services (OGS), Business Service Center (BSC) staff. The ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), experience using the NYS Statewide Financial System (SFS).

Duties Description The Program Aide will work in the Division of Family Health, Bureau of Administration, Personnel Workforce and Support Unit and will conduct Division purchasing and fiscal activities including but not limited to: obtaining quotes for general equipment and supply purchases, monitoring invoicing associated with purchases, creating receipts and monitoring invoices and the status of payments processed through the NYS Statewide Financial System, using tracking systems and archiving supporting documentation, act as a liaison with purchasing and program staff and vendors, assists with purchases of HRI supplies and equipment, maintain equipment and supply inventory and other duties as assigned.
