Minimum Qualifications Contract Management Specialist 1, Grade 18: One year of permanent competitive service as a Contract Management Specialist 1 OR have one year of permanent competitive service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law OR be reachable for appointment from the Professional Careers Opportunity (PCO) - Select eligible list.

Contract Management Specialist Trainee 1, NS: One year of permanent competitive service in an administrative traineeship (as defined in Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law); OR be currently reachable for appointment from the Professional Careers Opportunity (PCO) eligible list; OR be otherwise eligible for appointment in accordance with either Section 70.1 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The requested Contract Management Specialist 1 (CMS) will oversee contract transaction review and processing in support of grant programs, and various contracts, to implement revenue generating programs and a variety of vendor contracts. The positions are located in the Contract Administration Units and will work across agency programs to provide support and review of complex, high value transactions. Duties include:
· Supervise clerical staff in the review, tracking and processing of contract related transactions.
· Receive, review, and process contract related vouchers for programs.
· Receive and conduct level 1 review of vouchers for programs using a centralized voucher process.
· Communicate with program staff regarding need for documentation and clarifications required to approve vouchers.
· Process miscellaneous service contracts and associated payments.
· Report transaction statistics monthly.
· Communicate with CAU Unit Manager regarding transaction and funding issues.
· Work with appropriate Fiscal staff to identify and request funding for contracts.
· Work with control agency staff to address issues.
· Process all transactions in SFS.
· Other duties as assigned.
