Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Eligible for transfer/reassignment or reachable on the current Civil Service list or for provisional hire. Must have a High School diploma or equivalency diploma and one year experience assisting with the filling of medical prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or current pharmacy tech certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or certification/diploma from a pharmacy tech training program accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacist.

Duties Description Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs a variety of routine manual and clerical tasks in the receipt, storage, preparation, repackaging, issuing, and delivery of pharmaceutical supplies. Assists in the preparation of standard solutions and maintains pharmacy records.

Additional Comments Must take the NYS Civil Service exam when given and pass with a reachable score.
