Minimum Qualifications Transfer Qualifications: Any current Developmental Assistant 3.
Any permanent employee eligible for a 70.1 transfer.
Anyone eligible to take the Civil Service examination for Developmental Assistant 3 (Provisional Appointment).

Note: If you are appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled Civil Service examination for this title and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained.

Minimum Qualifications: You must be a qualified employee of the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities and have had permanent competitive or 55 b/55-c service as: a Developmental Assistant 1, Developmental Assistant 1 (In Residence Model),* Developmental Assistant 2, Senior Licensed Practical Nurse 2, or Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 2. After one year of the service described above, successful candidates will be qualified for appointment from the eligible list.

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION/PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Under the supervision of a Community Treatment Team Leader, the successful candidate:
• Supervise mid-level supervisors.
• Manage site(s) NPS budget resources.
• Manage FTE staffing allocations per site.
• Oversee community inclusion opportunities and allocated funds for consumers at each site.
• Manage individuals’ personal funds and ensures compliance with all related agency policies and procedures; conduct audits.
• Maintain site(s) physical plant and ensures all related health and safety issues are addressed and regulatory compliance is met.
• Complete monthly reports to the Team Leader, i.e., Minor Incident logs, medication error logs, monthly reports, etc.
• Have knowledge of and apply agency policies and procedures regarding personnel and regulatory compliance matters.
• Communicate with supervisors, IRA staff and clinicians on consumer issues and daily IRA operations.
• Coordinate and/or provide required staff training and monitor records for the same.
• Act as a role model for staff and consumers and actively participate in direct service delivery.
• Serve as a liaison with community vendors and volunteer services.
• As assigned, provides oversight and direction of all IRA staff to ensure implementation of consumer Residential Habilitation plans.
• Participate individuals’ meetings.
• Organize and facilitate staff meetings.
• Establish and maintain a working relationship with Day Habilitation and other service providers.
• Prepare for and participate in surveys; Implement subsequent plans of corrective action.
• Participate in special projects and assignments as directed by the Team Leader.
• Become a trained trainer as indicated.
• Attend investigative training and complete assigned investigations.
• Ensure appropriate PPE and other supplies are available on site.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Comments Varied Day shift
One 12:00 pm-8:00 pm per week.
Pass Days: Sat/Sun (will be required to work one weekend shift per month)
Night shifts as required.
(Flexibility required to meet the needs of the homes)
