Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Must take and pass the Civil Service exam when given and be reachable on the list. Must have at least 3 months permanent competitive NYS service as an Office Assistant, Clerical, or Keyboarding in a title allocated to a Grade 5 or higher.

Duties Description Looking to fill 2 positions.

One position in the State Shop - Duties include distributing clothing on a daily basis to the Incarcerated population, according to Directives and Facility Policies; accounting for inventory properly. Will supervise Incarcerated Individuals working in the area; prepare parolee clothing as needed.

Second position is for the Storehouse - Duties include: Assisting the Grade 12 in the daily issuing and receiving of supplies. Properly counting and recording/documenting of all stock items. Supervise Incarcerated workers in daily tasks, including cleaning. Preparing daily paperwork for the Business Office.
