Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must currently be a permanent, full-time Developmental Assistant 2;
OR
Must be active and reachable on the Civil Service eligible list for Developmental Assistant 2;
OR
Developmental Assistant 1 eligible for 70.1 transfer to the Developmental Assistant 2 title (successful
candidates must have completed one year in the Developmental Assistant 1 title to apply);
Valid unrestricted license to drive in New York State.

Duties Description Duties include maintaining work schedules for all program sites in the DDSO, generate and distribute staffing plans. Adjust staffing plans when changes occur and communicate with residential managers when staffing plans fail to be executed. Review of previous staffing plans for accuracy. Communicate effectively to employees assigned to program sites when floating and holding of overtime is necessary. Communicate effectively to residential managers relating to staffing homes. Review daily overtime reports, secure documents for compliance to the OPWDD Overtime Policy. Generate Fit for Duty Assessments when on duty as applicable. Work with residential supervisors during business hours and agency administrators off hours relating to staffing. Evaluate work schedules for best use of staffing resources in the management of overtime costs.
Generate bi-weekly overtime report for review, Secure and upload documents for Extreme Overtime Reports to SharePoint when requested. Maintain computerized list of voluntary and mandatory community wide list and cluster-wide float list for the community residences. May be assigned to update URC report, training records for community residences and schedule with training department. With due notice attend any needed training for the operation of the staffing office. Candidate selected must have and demonstrate knowledge of the OPWDD Overtime Policy and have working knowledge with Word and Xcel programs.
