Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

52.6 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55b/c service in a Grade 21 or higher title determined to be administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As an Investigative Officer 3 Unemployment Insurance in the Office of Special Investigations the incumbent will perform the following duties but not limited to:
• Oversee the activities of multiple OSI offices in the downstate region engaged in investigating allegations of unemployment insurance fraud.
• Provide training and mentoring to Investigative Officer 2’ s in the region.
• Serve as a liaison with other Department of Labor Divisions.
• Review and approve all cases being referred for criminal prosecution.
• Prepare reports for the Investigative Officer 4 and upper management.

Contingent/Permanent if a transfer or reassignment; otherwise, the appointment will be provisional pending examination.
Note: As this position requires travel, the appointee must have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State and have a motor vehicle or otherwise demonstrate their capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.
