Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a Salary Grade 23 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.

70.4 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: 1. One year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Salary Grade 23 or higher. 2. A passing score on the Professional Engineer (Industrial). Must meet the minimum qualifications of a Professional Engineer 1 (Industrial). Note: Candidates must not have failed the most recent examination for this title.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: as a professional Engineer (Industrial) in the division of Safety and Health’s Engineering Services unit, the incumbent will perform the following but now limited to:
• Performing professional engineering duties related to design and evaluation of industry standards that affect safety and health of workers and the general public.
• Evaluate work standards that support worksite conditions such as exposure to materials that may affect health and safety.
• Analyze human factors affecting the work environment and environmental factors that affect worker and the general public’s exposure to risks to air, water and land quality.
• Review plans and variances or modifications from mandated safety performance and specification standards.



Additional Comments PHYSICAL/MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS: A medical examination will be required prior to appointment and you are responsible for payment of the clinical laboratory test fee. You may be required to have your physical and medical conditions evaluated annually to ensure that you are able to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
