Duties Description This incumbent will lead a financial analyst within the Bureau of Global Cap, Rebates, and Supplemental Programs within OHIP’s Division of Finance and Rate Setting (DFRS) in the tracking, analyzing, and forecasting of the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program.
The Medicaid Drug Rebate Program requires drug companies to enter into a rebate agreement with the Federal Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as a precondition for coverage of their drugs by Medicaid and Medicare Part B. New York State collects drug rebates for both Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1990 (OBRA 90) managed care and fee-for-service drug utilization, and supplemental and diabetic supply rebates for fee-for-service utilization.
The incumbent will perform high-level analysis and assist in strategic planning to identify trends and impacts to providers within the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program.
