Open Competitive minimum qualifications (provided for 55b/c candidates):
Three years of experience in general construction or maintenance and possession of a valid NYS driver's license appropriate for the types of vehicles to be operated.
Note: If there is a viable promotion examination eligible list (three acceptors) for this position, candidates who qualify under the 55-b/55-c option cannot be considered.

Duties Description This working supervisor will report to a campground located in Hamilton County from May through October from 9:00am-5:30pm with pass days of Tuesday and Wednesday. The candidate will report to either the Indian Lake Maintenance Center or Northville Sub-Office from 7:00am-3:30pm for the remainder of the year with pass days of Saturday and Sunday. Duties will include cleaning and maintenance, direct supervision of caretakers and maintenance staff in the completion of daily tasks, and customer service. The candidate will be responsible for review and compilation of weekly revenue reports, water testing, and payroll expenditure tracking. Tasks performed outside the open camping season will include, but not be limited to, hazardous tree removal, campsite restoration projects, remodeling, and rehabilitation. Miscellaneous other duties as assigned.

Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain Must be able to work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
