Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
Duties Description Multiple positions are available at campgrounds within the Indian Lake working circle. Applicants must have dependable transportation and be able to work assigned shifts. Must be punctual, reporting for work on time. Shift work may be required when assigned to booth areas or shower building cleaning. Should expect to work all weekends and holidays during period of employment. Must be able, where applicable, to do manual work in park such as picking up litter, raking, pushing lawnmowers, and cleaning comfort stations, rest rooms and buildings. Extra physical work may be required such as aiding in removing brush and firewood and/or moving canoes and rowboats. Must be able to communicate with others and accept direction. All tasks are to be conducted in a safe manner, with any injuries/illnesses reported immediately to supervisor. Must be well groomed, wear appropriate attire, including work shoes/close toed shoes. Issued clothing must be kept clean and worn while on duty. Must be even tempered and capable of communicating with the public. Provide patrons with information regarding park facilities and use.
If assigned to booth: Must be able to handle and account for money and complete necessary Revenue Reports. Must be capable of operating a personal computer.
Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 11/30/2023. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
