Job Specifics
Duties Description Under the supervision of the Program Specialist 1 (Cannabis) the incumbent of this position will be working with the regulatory compliance unit to coordinate communications, compliance activities and regulatory enforcement over licensees.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Work with staff to support the regulatory compliance unit to assist in the preparation, review, evaluation, and analysis of a variety of data and reports from regulatory compliance team.
• Assist with auditing and inspections of licensee records for discrepancies in reporting, inventory, pricing, plant counts, pesticides, excipients, or other aspects of regulatory compliance.
• Draft tables, graphs, charts, PowerPoints, forms, and reports in support of the Regulatory Compliance Unit.
• Monitor the seed-to-sale tracking system and other technology used to monitor compliance of licensees across the medical, adult-use and cannabinoid hemp programs. Report any issues to supervisor.
• Review documents received from licensees to ensure documents are complete, accurate and properly submitted. Reach out to licensees for additional information where applicable.
• Conduct research as requested by regulatory compliance staff, being sure to adhere to deadlines identified.
• Track inspections and assist with preparing written correspondence to licensees summarizing audit findings.
• Collect, track, and analyze data from licensees to detect irregularities or inconsistencies with reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1of the Civil Service Law.
