Job Specifics
Duties Description The Labor Standards Directors Office seeks a Fall Student Intern to assist with projects involving Performance Management Systems, Document Retention, Creating and Updating Reports, Employee Engagement Practices, Employee Knowledge Base Systems and Projects. The Intern should be proficient in using Microsoft Suite (Excel SharePoint, Teams) or Google Sheets and have experience interact with Large Language Model AI platforms such as Notebook LM or Chat GPT. The intern should be well organized, reliable, motivated and should have a variety of interests including business, human resources, government, public policy and worker protection philosophies, technology. This internship will provide the opportunity to work directly with the administration of a large state-wide division with significant responsibilities within State Government. The student intern will learn how to apply new technologies to legacy systems to improve efficiency and increase employee satisfaction. At the same time the student intern will learn about rules, regulations, policies and practices involved in the administration of enforcement program in New York State.
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a student currently enrolled in upcoming/current college courses.
Preferred Skill sets:
Microsoft Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Forms, Outlook) Google Docs, PPT, AI LLM programs (e.g. Notebook LM Chat GPT)
