Job Specifics

Duties Description Under the direction of the Regional Park Maintenance Supervisor, SG-18, or designee, the incumbent will be assigned to the Regional Paint Shop. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist painters with preparation and execution of painting/staining tasks.
• Assist painters with the layout and installation of pavement markings.
• Power wash or otherwise clean buildings and structures.
• Assist carpenters with unskilled or semi-skilled general construction and roofing duties.
• Provide general labor to support skilled trades staff.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all assigned hand and power tools.
• Maintain daily activity reports along with other required records.

Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum qualifications for this title per Civil Service.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Must be comfortable working from ladders and lift/bucket trucks.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
