Job Specifics

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES not limited to:

The candidate will perform a wide variety of administrative and supervisory tasks. Will supervise and coordinate direct care and mid-level supervisory staff across shifts to ensure appropriate coverage and utilization of staff in multiple residences. This position supervises the overall function of the homes assigned as well as direct supervision of the assigned DA2(s) and DA1(s) of the homes which includes performance of a wide variety of functions and tasks following the best practices, policy and procedures of this agency. The DA3 assists the TTL with tasks assigned on a daily/ongoing basis, including but not limited to Res. Hab. Documentation and delivery, fire safety, fiscal management (including audits), completion of incidents, updating individual files, etc. The DA3 position supervises and works with staff and the house supervisors to motivate/support in an ongoing basis to ensure that the individuals in our care are cared for to the best of our ability. Computer skills are required to complete assignments.

Minimum Qualifications Promotion:
One year of service as a Developmental Assistant 2 and reachable on the current Civil Service list.

Transfer:
Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive, non-competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1, 70.4, or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.

Additional Comments • Please note that starting salary for this title reflects the increased hiring salary, Downstate adjustment and geographic pay differential. Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for CSEA Grade 17 ($66,690), Increased Hiring Salary ($7,980), Downstate Adjustment ($4,000) and Geographic Pay Differential ($6,000). Downstate Adjustment and Geographic Pay Differential are added to the job rate ($80,655).

• If you are currently a New York State employee serving in a permanent competitive qualifying title and eligible for a transfer via Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law, you may be appointed to this title as a permanent competitive employee.

• For CSEA positions: Local Bidding Agreements will be honored.
