Job Specifics
Duties Description Assist with updating/tracking FOIL requests, collection and preparation of documents needed, upload to online portal.
Assist assigned staff with coordinating, organizing, and follow-up on projects. Support staff with various tasks with the Unit. Track tasks until completion and provide support when necessary. Use of available resources, tools, and software to maintain efficient methods of tracking a such as Microsoft excel and SharePoint Lists. Assisting with communications internal and external communications via shared mailbox and HCS secure file transfer. Track communications to ensure timely responses.
Minimum Qualifications Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Program Aide, Grade 13.
Transfer Opportunity: New York State employee with one or more years of permanent or contingent-permanent service in title at Grade 11 or above, and eligible for transfer to Program Aide, Grade 13, under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills. Familiar with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
Additional Comments Permanent, full-time, competitive appointment. Transfer candidates may be asked for their social security number to verify transfer eligibility.
