Job Specifics

Duties Description The OHIP Audits Team is requesting to fill a Health Program Administrator 2 to oversee the unit. The Audits Unit act as the audit liaison between OHIP program staff, DOH Administration staff and outside auditors; including HHS OIG, OSC and State Single Audit contracted auditors; coordinate responses to the submission and review of audit responses throughout the audit lifecycle, track audit findings, monitor OHIP corrective action implementation progress, and prepare reports for OHIP management. Supervisory responsibilities will include: providing guidance and oversight to unit staff; assigning and monitoring assignments; reviewing, monitoring and evaluating staff performance; conducting regular staff meetings; and providing for staff development

Minimum Qualifications Permanent Transfer Candidates: Current New York State Department of Health employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive, service as a Health Program Administrator 2, SG-25 OR current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive, service in a title SG-23 or higher and eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 or Section 70.1 of the NYS Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills, organization and time management skills, proficiency with Excel, Word and SharePoint, and supervisory experience
