Job Specifics

Duties Description The Rebailitation Hospital Nursing Assistant 2 will attend to patient's daily living, hygienic and simple human needs. This includes transporting, moving and lifting patients. The incumbent will follow through on recommendation of treatment team.

Minimum Qualifications Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health Helen Hayes Hospital employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Rehabilitation Hospital Nursing Assistant 2.

Non-Competitive: one year of satisfactory full-time experience in the provision of simple treatment and other patient care services under professional supervision.

Preferred Candidate: The preferred candidate will be a Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA)

Posted salary range ($50,391 - $59,743) includes statutory hiring rate, plus an additional geographic pay differential of $6,000 and downstate adjustment of $4,000.

There is an additional Shift differential of 7% for evening shift and 10% for Night shift.

If applicable inconvenience pay program of $575 per year will be paid to employees who work four (4) hours or more between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Hours worked between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on an overtime basis are not included for Inconvenience Pay.

Hours for this shift are 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM.
