Job Specifics

Duties Description As a Program Operations Specialist 2, you would independently perform professional, administrative, and technical duties to promote the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. You may also supervise Program Operations Specialists 1 and other staff engaged in these activities.

•Under the supervision of SPS Quality Assurance (QA) Bureau, serve as a Data Management Supervisor. This position will be situated in SPS Region 2 with primary support to that region but will also support other regions based on need.?

•Supervise POS1 and/or other staff assigned to SPS QA

•Provide technical assistance/training to SPS units in data cleanup /monitoring efforts?

•Assist in developing workplans and remediation support strategies with SPS unit leads and supervisors to assist with quality of procedures and data entry.
•Serve as member of Community of Practices (COPS)
•Produce data by querying data repositories and generate periodic reports and visualizations?
•Assess data structures and how they can be used to produce desired reports.?

•Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in data sources.

•Test, validate, and reformulate data to ensure integrity.

•Partner with SPS QA personnel and SPS leadership for data collection and reporting.

?•Communicate with SPS leadership using a variety of data-driven tools and work with other team members on effective tool usage.

•Review SPS activities to proactively identify areas where data can help identify goals and objectives and/or assess progress and performance of activities.?

•Participate in discussions of large-scale projects to assist with tracking to ensure meeting benchmarks.

•Ensure data integrity for data collected in respective units through sampling, validation and other method.

•Support knowledge transfer of data analysis skills, tools and software with SPS staff to expand data knowledge.

•Support SPS unit managers and leads to develop metrics and reports to monitor unit performance and support staff in their day-to-day work (e.g., develop “local” reports to assist staff in managing their workload).

•Provide analysis for SPS Leadership regarding staff output, compliance, benchmark timelines, and other information, as needed.

•Provide statistical background for analysis and provide expertise for evaluative work with staff.

•Participate in IT development projects that will support SPS activities. •Produce reports and effectively communicate/present results.

•Support other analytical activities, and assisting with compiling data for ad hoc requests, as needed.?

•Manage records retention activities. •Assist with development record disposition for SPS.

•TABS/Choices/Capacity Management Coordinator: Troubleshooting, assigning roles and liaising with Central Office for higher-level issues. •Function as a resource for Development Plan reports.

•Additional duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications Promotion:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List.

Transfer:
Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1, 70.4, or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.

• The assignment of PS&T employees will be made in accordance with any agreed upon Memorandum of Understanding between PEF and the local DDSO regarding the posting of job vacancies.
