Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in information technology or in a healthcare administration role that required interaction with healthcare information technology systems and oversight of system change; OR an Associate’s degree and five (5) years of such experience; OR seven (7) years of such experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for one (1) additional year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, including SharePoint Online/Office 365 and SharePoint 2010. At least two (2) years of experience supporting a SharePoint environment as a system administrator, including: security configuration, capacity planning, monitoring farm performance and availability, system or data integration with outside sources, and email configuration; One (1) year of experience developing intranet, content management, or collaboration tools as a SharePoint Administrator, SharePoint Designer, or .NET developer; experience in Active Directory Administration, troubleshooting network infrastructure, and server administration; excellent communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with others in explaining systems issues and Department initiatives.

Duties Description Reporting to the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Director in the Division of Operations and Systems, the incumbent will coordinate and assist the Division in customizing, maintaining and communicating appropriate use of the SharePoint platform in an Office 365 environment to ensure the Department’s ability to appropriately share project information and manage document changes for all project participant’s, including Division and contractor staff, stakeholders within OHIP and other agencies. Specific responsibilities and duties will include: Administer DOS SharePoint sites; analyze vendor-administered SharePoint installations to ensure that they are adequate and reliable to meet the needs of the Division; identify opportunities to integrate data and consolidate multiple independent SharePoint installations; assist in developing security policies and permissions for data that will be contained in SharePoint sites; assess user needs, including site collections, sub-sites, lists, etc.; serve as SharePoint evangelist, advocating for use and providing ad-hoc education and training, as needed; work with ITS in administration of sites; understand HIPAA Privacy rules and follow established rules to protect confidential data.
