Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent, competitive class service as a Information Technology Specialist 2 (Programming) OR reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for the title of Information Technology Specialist 2 (Programming) OR one year of permanent competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 or Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The employee will work in Web Development as a software developer assigned to the ITS-PHS Disability team. He/She must have a strong knowledge of .NET platform, Oracle PL/SQL, XML and Java Script. Must have experience in implementing Object Oriented Programming Concepts (OOPS), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based Applications, client-server applications and Windows Services based applications.

The duties of the job will be primarily to develop computer software to process and maintain disability policies for NYSIF customers, will include the following activities:
• Analysis, design and coding web based applications using the tools such as C# 4.0, VB.NET 10.0, ASP.NET, TFS, MVC, ASP.NET 3.5/4.0, ADO.NET, HTML 4.0, Ajax, Adobe Live Cycle Designer.
• Develop Mobile web applications using JQuery and Mobile Framework for Smartphones & Tablets.
