Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this position. You must be physically able to perform the duties assigned. Must have a current, valid NYS driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical and electrical equipment repair experience and or training.
Duties Description The Laborer position in the Bureau of Air Quality Surveillance's Monitoring Support Section (MSS) is an integral part of a team that maintains the New York State air monitoring network. Our network comprises 55 individual sites that depend on the support functions provided by this section. In addition to routine equipment testing and field deployment of instruments, the individual will assist in the repair and refurbishment of failed equipment and monitoring site structures to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the air monitoring network.
Additional Comments This is a seasonal, hourly position ending no later than 3/31/19. The actual work schedule may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
