Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as an Associate Administrative Analyst, G-23 OR in a position at SG-21 or above deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.




Duties Description Under the direction of ITS 4, Grade 25, in HUM SVC/BUSINESS SOLUTIONS/DOL – CAD – EMPLOYER, the incumbent will function as a lead analyst on behalf of NYSDOL. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
-Supervise subordinate staff in planning, developing, analyzing, performing, evaluating, advising on, and improving such management concerns as organizations, information systems, management control systems, the evaluation of program and policy, and work methods and procedures;
-Perform analysis of complex problems, considering such factors as laws, rules, and regulations;
-Identify problems or factors inhibiting the accomplishment of program goals and set project objectives, develop work plans, and develop alternative approaches, as a means of resolving those factors;
-Perform techniques such as flowcharting, task analysis, systems analysis, and interviewing to describe problemsPrepare periodic and final progress reports on analysis findingsDevelop methods, procedures, and recommendations based on the analysis performed;
-Assist in the implementation of solutions.
