Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

52.6 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
This position is designated administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law and may be filled by administrative transfer under that section. To be eligible for transfer, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in a title Grade 28/M-3 or above designated administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
NCP AND PROVISIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
On or before the date of appointment, you must have had one-year of permanent competitive or 55b/55c service: as a Workforce Programs Manager 2, M-3.
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
The Assistant Director, Workforce Development & Training would assist in the planning, organizing, evaluating and coordinating activities of the Division. Will assist with the overall day-to-day operations of programs and procedures associated with the implementation of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Wagner-Peyser, the Federal Trade Reform Act, state-funded training programs, and other programs assigned to the Division. Will play a critical role in evaluating current Workforce policies and advising on improvements to the delivery system and internal procedures.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evening and or out-stationed assignments.
