Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Promotion: Must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-B/55-C service as a Facilities Planner 1.

Open-Competitive: Must have had either 1.) Five years of qualifying experience, OR 2.) An Associate's Degree and four years of the qualifying experience, OR 3.) An Associate's Degree in the field of architecture, planning, or civil, industrial, industrial management, structural, environmental or electrical engineering and three years of the qualifying experience; OR 4.) A Bachelor's Degree and three years of the qualifying experience; OR 5.) A Bachelor's Degree in the field of architecture, planning, or civil, industrial, industrial and management, structural, environmental, or electrical engineering and two years of the qualifying experience.

Qualifying experience: experience must have been in planning major facility construction projects, or in policy development or planning of complex municipal land use projects. Examples of acceptable experience planning major facility construction projects include: capital construction project planning, corporate construction project planning, public works construction projects, or other similar large scale construction project planning.
