Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer, or a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in an appropriate title.

Duties Description These full-time Office Assistant 1 positions are located in the SSI State Supplement Program (SSP) Bureau within Employment and Income Support Programs (EISP). The Customer Support Center (CSC) of SSP provides customer service during regular business hours, and serves as the primary point of contact for the approximately 672,000 SSP recipients.
Duties for these positions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Answering the telephones following CSC Unit protocols;
• Entering data from calls into SSP system;
• Initiating the mailing of documents to recipients/provider agencies;
• Escalating issues to supervisor/Work Units as needed;
• Directing recipients to internal or external resources as necessary (i.e., Social Security Administration, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program);
• Creating work items for the work units; and
• Assisting other units as necessary.
Additional Comments Appointments are contingent on Division of the Budget approval to fill. Full-time, permanent appointments will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to these titles.
