Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have:

1. An Associate’s Degree or 60 college semester hours and one year of work experience in customer service*
2. Or a High School diploma or GED and three years of work experience, one year of which must be in customer service*

*Customer service is defined as dealing with many different individuals on a continuous basis where verbal communication is the primary aspect for accomplishing the duties of the position. Qualifying experience may include call center agent, caseworker, customer service representative, sales representative providing information, or telemarketer. Non-qualifying experience includes cashier, fast-food worker, gas station attendant, or security guard.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

As a Senior Employment Security Clerk assigned to DEWS you will serve as a central point for disseminating general information about the 599 program to UI customers and responsible for handling all in-bound calls on a continuous basis. Will perform a variety of functions related to the processing and review of 599 applications. Managing correspondence, preparing documents for imaging and updating customer records using the mainframe and OSOS. Assist with various office functions.

Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evening and or out-stationed assignments.
