Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications YOU MUST BE A CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR APPOINTMENT TO THIS POSITION.

Eligible for 52.6 transfer by having one year of permanent, competitive service in an appropriate title; or eligible for a lateral transfer.

Duties Description Provides first level desk top, help desk and troubleshooting support to NYSIF users. Works with other members of the information technology services department to troubleshoot more complex user technical problems. Takes primary responsibility for troubleshooting, researching and testing solutions to desktop technical issues. Provides telephone and in-person technical assistance to end-users at NYSIF. Provides support to NYSIF Service Desk answering telephone inquiries. Install, maintain and support PC software, hardware and peripherals running on the local and wide area networks. Working knowledge of Microsoft software products. Support NYSIF phone system; including desk phones, voice mail and cell phones. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of all IT related equipment located at respective site.
