Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Permanent qualifications: Candidates must currently be a permanent Program Aide OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list.

Transfer qualifications: Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for oversight of contract and purchasing functions within the ENY Contract Hub and Taconic Business Office
• Register contracts with the Department of Labor to ensure prevailing wage is recorded.
• Obtain all necessary B1184 approvals
• Ensure MWBE vendors are solicited as part of the bid process, obtain Civil Service approval when necessary
• Assist with development of new bids to ensure vendors complete all mandatory requirements
• Interface with the Office of the State Comptroller and Attorney General’s Office throughout the contract approval process
• Ensure purchases are in compliance with NYS Procurement Guidelines
• Supervision of multiple staff
• Other duties as assigned
