Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current or previous permanent service as an Office Assistant 2, or
• One year current or previous permanent service in the Office Assistant 2 title series.
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent of this position will function as one of the Human Resources Time Information Management Electronic System (TIMES) administrators, as well as back-up for Medical Leave Administration. This is a fast-paced, high volume office, where the incumbent must be able to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain positive relationships with employees, supervisors and staff from other State agencies.
Under the supervision of a Human Resources Specialist 1:
• Enters employee information into TIMES
• Runs TIMES reports as necessary or requested.
• Receives and tracks medical documentation received from employees.
• Maintains TIMES to ensure appropriate accruals are charged and to determine when an employee should be place on alternate work pay status.
• Completes related payroll transaction forms.
• Maintains files related to Medical Leaves and purges them as needed.
• In consultation with the supervisor, assesses whether the employee should be sent to EHS to verify the ability to return to work.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection will be based on interview and a review of current and past performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• In title Office Assistant 2, Grade 9;
- OR –
• Eligible for a 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to Office Assistant 2 by the Department of Civil Service (must also be within 2 salary grades of grade 9)
