Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications • Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be currently attending a New York State college, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State
• Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year College or University (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students for participation in the Student Intern Program); or a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or equivalent to a C
Duties Description Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Support, install, diagnose, maintain, and repair hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets, peripheral devices)
• Support software, applications, network, and telecommunication issues
• Provide account management support including account creation and password resets
• Support and process file services requests
• Provide Help Desk support
o Phone, email, chat, and in-person IT assistance provided to customer
o Work with mentor, with emphasis on analysis and problem-solving techniques
o Developing technical expertise with end user / client desktops
• Assist customers regarding cybersecurity
Hours are to be during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
Preferred Skills:
Strong analytic and diagnostic abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with computers, software, applications, OS (Win7, Win10), and peripheral devices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Degree Concentration: Information Technology
Additional Comments Fingerprinting will be required of hired candidate.
