Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Possession of a license to practice as a registered professional nurse in New York State and have one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.

Duties Description Nursing assessments and orientation of inmates., Routine and emergency sick call for inmate population. Monitor physician call out, note and transcribe orders. Monitor chronic health problems, communicable disease. Provide inmates with their prescription medication in a timely fashion. Maintain adequate inventory control of medical supplies, over-the-counter medications. Chart management consistent with accreditation and QA. Provide emergency medical care for employees. Attend required training. Work as a team. Adhere to strict time and attendance guidelines. This is an hourly/on-call position with the possibility of future full-time employment.
