Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited institution
•1-3 years of college-level athletic training experience
•National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
•NYS Athletic Trainer licensure or eligible
•First-Aid and Professional Rescuer CPR/AED certified
•Effective written and verbal communication, computer, and web related skills
•Valid unrestricted drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
•Master's degree - Master of Education, Master of Science
•2 years of Collegiate Athletic Training Experience
•First-Aid/CPR - instructor certification preferred. (American Red Cross preferred)
•Professional Strength and Conditioning certification
Duties Description SUNY Delhi is seeking to fill a full-time Head Athletic Trainer position. The College offers 19 sports at the NCAA Division III level including. This is a 10-month, annually renewable position.
Responsibilities: Delhi's Head Athletic Trainer will work in conjunction with an assistant to provide management of a comprehensive Sports Medicine program. They will work together to provide athletic training services including prevention, care, and rehabilitation; provide medical care during practices, home contests, and selected away competitions; provide supervision of student assistants; and work cooperatively with SUNY Delhi Health Services Practitioners, Director of Health and Counseling Services, and coaches for the health and welfare of all student-athletes participating on the College's sanctioned athletic teams.
This position will also include additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Additional Comments Additional Information:
•Starting and ending dates: August 1, 2019, to May 31, 2020
•Obligation: College Year 10-month, the non-obligation period is June and July
•Work schedule: Full-time, various nights, and weekends with scheduled athletic competitions. Periodic travel to away athletic events as needed
•Salary: $43,000
•Position: Senior Staff Assistant - SL3
•Reports to: Director of Athletics
