Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications For permanent appointment, candidate must be currently employed by New York State as a Habilitation Specialist 1 with permanent or contingent permanent service and eligible for transfer, OR Currently be employed by New York State and reachable for appointment on the Civil Service list for this title.
Language Proficiency: (Spanish Language), you will be required to demonstrate your Spanish language proficiency at a level that will ensure your ability to perform properly the duties of the position.
Duties Description : A Habilitation Specialist 1 is required at the Westchester Day Program for the following duties:
• Will run a class room program
• Will meet with the ITT on an annual/semi-annual base to develop goals
• Will train DSAs assigned to their program class room
• Will maintain a safe environment to safe guard the individuals
• Daily monitoring of data entrée, service compliance and inclusions
• Closely monitoring records books to ensure compliance
• Supervise and closely monitor work performances of all staff.
Additional Comments Salary includes $3,026 location pay
