Duties Description Under higher level supervision, the Taxpayer Services Specialist 1 (TSS 1) must be able to perform the following essential functions:
• Maintain confidentiality of information; exercise patience and good judgment in dealing with internal/external customers.
• Collaborate in the execution of test scenarios to evaluate the accuracy of the system.
• Collaborate in the analysis of defects in systems, processes and procedures, and recommend solutions to address the defect(s).
• Multi-task and prioritize assignments; organize workload and files for all assignments.
• Be detail-oriented and follow through with all aspects of assignments through completion.
• Use various spreadsheets for tracking a wide variety of assignments.
• Communicate effectively via written, telephone and face to face contact with
• Department staff and management.
• Understand and logically explain complex technical requirements and provisions to others
• Cross train with other staff and provide back-up for other staff if necessary.
• Provide guidance as a technical instructor in formal classroom and/or on-the-job training sessions.
• Work closely with management performing duties and provide program and technical assistance.
• Organize and maintain files, create reports, spreadsheets and organizational charts.
• Create and assist in the preparation, review, and evaluation of a variety of reports and records (Project timeline, software licenses, time reporting, widgets)
Adhere to the time and attendance rules and regulations of the Department
