Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Transfer/reassignment or OC list or provisional status granted and must have a High School diploma or a equivalent to High School Diploma/GED. Must be signed up for upcoming Office Assistant 1 KBS exam that was posted on the New York State Civil Service Website by September 25th with test being given November 9th.

Duties Description Handles all admission records and completes mandatory incoming file checklist, maintains personal property and insures allowable property is issued within departmental guidelines. Inputs information into the inactive and release records. Sort office mail and distributes the mail respond to the inmate correspondence received, upon receipt of released records checks transfer sheets and packs up for storage as assigned. Completes clerical rotation work: mail, filing and copying.
