Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be employed by New York State to be eligible to apply for this position.
Candidates must be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by having at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title within two salary grades of the Grade 13 level.
Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting a qualified, current State employee to fill an Program Aide, Grade 13, position in the Center for Human Resources Management, Bureau of Facility Personnel Services, Central Transactions Unit (CTU).
The CTU is responsible for entering personnel transactions into the OMH and NYS automated systems, assisting Human Resources staff with transactions, resolving payroll certification issues, and producing reports from NYSTEP and PayServ.
Under the direction of a Human Resources Specialist, the incumbent will perform supervisory and paraprofessional tasks in the CTU. The incumbent will supervise and train staff who enter personnel transactions in the OMH and NYS automated systems, assist staff with complex transactions, resolve payroll certification issues, and produce reports to ensure all transactions are processed correctly.
