Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
New York State Driver’s License

Duties Description The incumbent will perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks and responsibilities in the operation and maintenance of Taughannock Falls State Park. The incumbent will also have supervisory duties including training, assignment and review of tasks of lower level employees. The incumbent will also need the ability to operate a variety of pieces of equipment including backhoe, loader tractor, dump truck, riding mower, skid steer, utility vehicle, chainsaw and refuse truck. This position also requires the ability to work alone and light security task and with the ability to communicate with the public.

Additional Comments OPERATING NEEDS:

Must be able to follow written direction, record and document required information and communicate effectively.
Must have knowledge of good safety practices.
Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and park patrons.
Must have good organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to multi-task.
Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
Must have the ability to operate a chainsaw and complete Game of Logging.
Must be able to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work.
Must posses or obtain a Class B CDL and maintain it as a term and condition of employment.
