Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Must be licensed and currently resisted as a Physician Assistant by New York State Education Department or possess a limited permit to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York State. If appointed with a limited permit, the candidate has one year from the date their permit was issued to obtain their license.

Duties Description As a Physician Assistant, under the supervision of a qualified physician, you would assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment of inmates. Perform routine medical examinations on inmates; write prescriptions and submit to physician for countersignature; order standard labs and x-ray procedures and lab tests.

Additional Comments This vacancy is a per diem 50% position.
