Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as an Administrative Aide (G-13); or one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title allocated to G-11 or above eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a professional manner; manage multiple activities and meet deadlines; detail oriented with strong organizational skills; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The preferred candidate will also have a high level of competence using the following computer programs: Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, 365, Outlook, Adobe Pro, and Share Point.
Duties Description This position is assigned to the Division of Laboratory Quality Certification (DLQC) which consists of several regulatory programs that provide oversight to approximately 20,000 laboratories & tissue banks to ensure quality of testing and tissue banking in NYS. This position will provide support to the DLQC division office and to the Tissue Resources Program (TRP), which oversees tissue banks. The position requires the incumbent to work with the program directors to perform activities such as the analysis & preparation of budgets, assist in preparing job duties and waiver justifications, document review, preparation and editing of documents, correspondence with regulated parties, and other administrative responsibilities as assigned. The position also requires the incumbent to review tissue bank documentation including license applications for completeness; generate licenses; maintain databases; collect, tabulate, & analyze data to compile comprehensive reports.
