Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Must possess registered nurse professional license in New York State and have one-year post licensure nursing experience.

Duties Description Nurses work in the facility medical unit, caring for the inmate population in a maximum-security prison. They respond to emergency situations, monitor medications including diabetic testing, TB tests for inmates/staff, COVID screening and immunizations are completed. Inmate transfer records are checked, daily visits to special housing units, MHU and ICP are done.
