Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications
There are no education or experience qualifications. However, the preferred candidates should possess, at minimum, a High School diploma. Those with an associate degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management, or a related service field are encouraged to apply, along with students pursuing a degree in a related occupational field. The ideal candidates should demonstrate knowledge, skill, demeanor and capability for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; possess experience in hospitality services, guest relations, food and beverage service, room cleaning and reception set up/break down; and possess a strong belief in high standards, exceptional service and first-rate quality.

Duties Description Assist an outstanding team to prepare for small, medium or large-scale executive level functions, banquets and receptions; provide food and beverage services; maintain orderly storage, care and inventory of china, linens, silverware, etc., and ensure they are properly maintained; assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen, dining, bedroom, bathroom and pantry areas; and in general, clean and maintain order within the state facility.

Additional Comments Under the general direction of the facility manager, the incumbent is responsible for a variety of duties involved in the planning, preparation and hosting of informal and formal events as well as the operation and cleanliness of the executive level state facility. The incumbent shall be hired on an “on-call” basis and will work part-time strictly upon request. The incumbent must be available to work evenings, holidays and weekends. The incumbent will undergo a full and complete background check as part of the interview process.
