Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The incumbent will assist in the management of various grant programs, aviation capital budget tracking, and other administrative functions. The incumbent will perform tasks associated with various Aviation Grant Programs as listed. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• For Operating and Design Services Contract at Republic Airport:

o Review billings, invoices and vouchers;
o Conduct funding analyses and reporting;
o Process Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant agreements;
o Coordinate FAA reimbursement requests with Republic airport staff and the Accounting Bureau; and
o Coordinate with Transportation Budgeting Bureau (TBB) on contract and budget issues.

• Aviation Capital Grant Programs

o Create and manage grant agreements, and grant amendments, request PIN assignments and contract numbers;
o Provide external technical assistance to grantees on grant management requirements;
o Assist in the production of funding and financial reports as requested by management;
o Review and approve grantee reimbursement requests; work with grantees and consultants to resolve reimbursement issues; and
o Work with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and consultants on various grant management issues.

• Participate in Aviation Bureau activities related to Statewide Financial System (SFS).

• Lead financial aspects of the Annual Airport Safety Inspection Program (5010 Program).

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
