Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

52.6 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of permanent, contingent permanent service in a Grade 29/M-3 or higher title determined to be administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

*Consecutive transfers cannot result in advancement of more than two salary grades or one M-grade.

Civil Service requires additional special minimum qualifications for certain titles. This title requires either a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Auditing or Taxation, OR a bachelor’s degree (or higher) including or supplemented by 24 credits in accounting, auditing or taxation courses.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

Under the general direction of the Director of UI Employer Services & Integrity, the Unemployment Insurance Audit Director oversees statewide unemployment insurance audit and collection operations. The incumbent will plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate operations of all District Offices and ancillary service units; ensure consistency in service delivery and collaboration with other units and Divisions; review and monitor performance and suggest any modifications necessary to consistently meet goals and objectives; and may communicate with employers and their representatives to resolve difficult cases

Additional Comments Please Note: Positions in the Unemployment Insurance Division may be in-person, remote, or partially remote and partially in-person. Remote employees will be required to report in-person if directed. These positions may be subject to mandatory and/or voluntary overtime, which may include evening and weekend hours. Shift start times may vary based on operational need.
