Minimum Qualifications Must be reachable on the Civil Service Eligible List.

TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description This Program Aide will provide support to the Metro NY Human Resources Department. The program aide will review NYSTEP, NYBEAS, and PAYSERV transactions to ensure that appropriate guidelines are met before processing in the civil service and payroll systems. The incumbent will complete all employment verification requests, troubleshoots issues with employee compensation and health insurance transactions, and processes W-4s and Retirement System enrollments and changes. Additionally, the incumbent will answer incoming calls, respond to correspondence, handle and/or refer inquiries concerning staff from outside entities and management. The incumbent will also be the liaison for the Performance Evaluation program.

Incumbent will perform other tasks as assigned and may be required to travel to the Manhattan Human Resources Office as needed.
