Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

52.6 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a title Grade 21 or higher determined to be administrative by Civil Service.

52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP) Qualifications: To be eligible for NCP, candidates must be in the Department of Labor promotion field and have one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as an Administrative Specialist 1 (formally known as Administrative Assistant). If 3 or fewer qualified Department of Labor Administrative Specialist 1’s respond to this posting, Civil Service may approve the permanent appointment of one of the qualified Administrative Specialist 1’s without further examination.
Note: This appointment will be competitive; under 52.7, the term non-competitive refers only to the fact that the appointed candidate will not compete in an examination.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: The duties of the Administrative Specialist 2 in the Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions (DEWS) will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• provide general or special staff aid in the performance of a variety of administrative functions;
• assist in monitoring staff funding for the Division;
• provide administrative support to the Division’s Director, Bureau Directors and statewide staff regarding Human Resources management;
• be relied upon for policy advice and recommendations and have important coordinating responsibilities for the Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions;
• be the lead program liaison for the Division with the Department’s Human Resources office.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evenings and/or out-stationed assignments
