Duties Description The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking a Program Aide to work in the Community Funding Unit within the Bureau of Central Operations. This is a critical position that will play an integral role in processing 100% state-funded payments under Self-Direction contracts. The Self- Direction program is responsible for supporting and serving individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Under the direction of the Contract Management Specialist 1, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Assist in the processing and management of OPWDD's Fiscal Intermediary contracts and claims.
· Work in SFS to process purchase orders and vouchers related to monthly claiming.
· Update and check claimed individuals in the state funded Self-Direction database to ensure payments are appropriate.
· Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating workflow and procedures.
Maintain the voucher file system and assist in the preparation and transfer of records to the record center according to retention protocols
· Respond to both internal and external inquiries regarding agency/unit activities, transactions and procedures
· Assist in special projects within Central Operations as directed by the Principal Accountant who supervises all state payments

Preferred Qualifications include:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Statewide Financial System (SFS)
